The Beatles vs. The Rolling Stones: Final Draft

This is my final draft of my music argument The Beatles vs. The Rolling Stones. I edited the unfortunate misuse of in-text citations once again. I also made the opening paragraph much shorter. Making the opening paragraph shorter was extremely hard for me! As I mentioned previously in the last post I am a big geek when it comes to music. When I started writing this essay the opening paragraph was almost the length of a football field. Okay, I am being dramatic but it was over two pages long! I finally condensed it to one page. Which I understand is still very long for an opening paragraph. However, I felt like an obsessive music listener that everyone needed as much background information on the topic than they actually needed! With all that being said here is my edited final draft.

This time I did things differently. I learned a new technique called TREX which stands for thesis, reasons, evidence, and explanation. I came up with three things for each thing. This was a very helpful way of prepping for an essay. I was able to online and have notes in a very organized way. However, I think I like the way I normally organize my essay. It may be because I have been doing it the same way since I learned to write an essay. Nonetheless, I will be incorporating this method into my own in the future. As you can see I also decided to try and take all my notes and outlines on Microsoft One Note to go paperless.
