Outdoor Voices Ad For my second assignment in English Composition 1, I had to write an ad analysis essay. After looking hard and long I found this ad. I decided to choose this ad because it shows ethos, pathos, and logos. I also am a big fan of the company. This is the perfect ad also because of the wording that is on the image. Here are my first outlines for the essay. It also includes some notes and ideas on what I could write about for each paragraph. I always start out with the mindset that I am going to write five paragraphs. The first paragraph is the opening that features the thesis statement. The second, third, and fourth paragraphs in the body. The fifth paragraph is the closing I usually begin it with a revised version of the thesis statement from the first paragraph. This time I did things differently. I learned a new technique called TREX which stands for thesis, reasons, evidence, and explanation. I came up with three things for each thing. This was a very helpful way of prepping for an essay. I was able to online and have notes in a very organized way. However, I think I like the way I normally organize my essay. It may be because I have been doing it the same way since I learned to write an essay. Nonetheless, I will be incorporating this method into my own in the future. As you can see I also decided to try and take all my notes and outlines on Microsoft One Note to go paperless.
